Slow Burns

Hello everyone and welcome to the first week of the Sound Scoops new segment: The SoundScape! If you read my post last week you would have known that this segment consists of Recommendations Curated based on MOODS which you all (my lovely readers) will decide each week and then I will create a lovely mini playlist for you all!
For the first mood of the week, we have SLOW BURNS. When adding this mood as one of the choices for this week, I put in parenthesis: cinematic affect, which I hope when hearing the songs will make sense.
The internet defines Slow Burn as '“a state of slowly developing story of emotions”, and when I think of what a slow burn is, I imagine those movies that keep you at the edge of your seat because you know that something insane is going to happen any minute. There is a pace of its own and the movie almost comes to life on its own. This is half because of the huge reliance on soundtracks as they add to the tension and building up of the story.
But sometimes we have songs that we hear and go “Woah, this could so be part of a movie” because they are just so fun of life. From my perspective, these songs will always be long, and dynamic, and will stick on the top of my playlist until I get tired of them.
So up next, we have some Slow Burns to accompany on a long car ride, a rainy day or late-night reflections…

I. Flight of the Navigator by Childish Gambino
This song is the less climactic of the three but I enjoy how consistent and slow place it is, it also has a sense of nostalgic warmth to it…

I remember the first time I heard this song, I was so obsessed, the many sections repeat but sound different and more dynamic each time.
I recommend you hear these three together in ascending order to get the whole slow-burn experience.
